Scenic Path – Whole Home Remodel – Leander
TRS Build
Leander, Texas 78641
The Story
This whole-home transformation blended a modern farmhouse feel with refined European touches to create a warm, elegant, and functional living space. At the heart of the remodel, the kitchen was fully reimagined and opened to the living area, enhancing both flow and natural light. A striking custom wood hood and oversized island—crafted with artisanal carpentry—anchor the space, bringing in a hint of color while balancing rustic textures with timeless design. Both the coffee area and backsplash are done in a true zellige tile which aligns perfect with the European style accents.
The Details
The living area was further elevated with the addition of a new fireplace featuring German Schmear-style masonry, adding old-world character with a soft, weathered finish that complements the new wood finish ceiling beams.
Continuing an eclectic vibe through the home, each bathroom receives a completely new look with gorgeous tile selections. In the guest bath, understated vanilla cabinets allow the tiles to steal the show, an exquisite geometric black and white floor, and beautifully laid black tiles with assorted prints and finishes in the shower.
Blues are brought into the primary bath with a decorative flooring tile and gorgeous glazed navy floral patterned tile in the shower. A standout detail: an antique wood-tone dresser was thoughtfully converted into a navy-blue vanity with a quartz countertop, merging vintage charm with modern performance that aligns perfectly with the clawfoot tub and antique light fixture.
Throughout the home, craftsmanship was prioritized—from bespoke cabinetry to the careful restoration of the original front door with a new finish and rain glass. At the rear of the home, a new three-panel sliding door opens to the patio and backyard, creating an effortless connection between indoor and outdoor living.
This remodel brought together layered textures, handcrafted details, and a refined color palette to achieve a home that is both inviting and enduring. What a pleasure it was to collaborate with these creative homeowners!
