Like many of our clients seeking home additions, this growing family in the Travisso development in Leander wanted to stay in their existing neighborhood, and they also wanted to add several rooms (and bathrooms) to the home and a media room and play area. The existing home had a beautiful open concept kitchen and living area with windows to the pool and patio in the backyard, however this layout and site use left less space for individual bedrooms and no space to grow out on the first floor.

The solution? Go up!

Adding a second floor also provided the opportunity to create a beautiful grand entry area and lift the garage ceiling for more storage space in the garage.

As always, a priority for both the design and the build are to ensure that after the new space is constructed, from inside and out it looks like it was always there.

A second floor with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a media room and a play area provided the perfect addition and space for the immediate family, and opened space on the first floor for extended family when visiting.
